Privacy policy
SeeThePoints is built to work without collecting personal data. This page explains exactly what happens when you use the extension and this website.
The extension
- Flight details: on supported flight search sites, the extension reads the flights shown on the page (airports, airlines, cabin and price) to work out points estimates. This happens entirely in your browser and is never sent to us.
- Settings: your choices (card markets, sites, appearance) are saved in your browser's extension storage. If you're signed in to Chrome or Edge, your browser may sync them between your devices.
- Award chart data: the award charts are built into the extension and are updated through the Chrome Web Store and Microsoft Edge Add-ons. The extension doesn't download them from us.
- Pro licence key: when you activate Pro, and about once a day after that, your licence key and a random ID for your browser are sent to seethepoints.com to check that the key is still valid. Nothing else is sent.
- We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind, and we don't sell or share data.
Buying Pro
Payments are handled by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record through Stripe Managed Payments. Stripe collects your name, email address and payment details to process the order, under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address and order details, and we store your email address with your licence key so we can provide support, resend lost keys and process refunds. We send your licence key to that email address using our email provider, Resend.
This website
The website doesn't use cookies or analytics. If you choose UK or India using the switch at the top of the page, we remember that choice in your browser's local storage so you see the same prices next time; it stays on your device and isn't sent to us. If you haven't made a choice, the page asks Cloudflare, our hosting provider, which country your IP address is in, only to show India or UK prices; we don't store this. Cloudflare may keep standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) for a short time for security purposes.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. Uninstalling the extension removes its settings from your browser.
